Weekly Notes #13
May 7 - June 28
It's been 3 weeks since my last blog...been super busy...
Exercising
- Not running as much as I wanted for these weeks, I mainly blame the weather (it's my first winter in the southern hemisphere). The sun sets before I get to home so no chance to run outdoors during the week. But I did explore a new running route near my home, and on the way I get to see airplanes! Super cool!

Reading
- I am reading or mostly listening to Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. I wanted to read more after finishing Elantris a few weeks ago so started this one. I am on Chapter 30 ish now and I would give it a 4 stars. I don't think the plot is surprising, but it is structured and the magic system has some logic. It seems that the book was well designed, researched and prepared before being written. I like all the characters so far, and I like the world setting, the city and its architecture etc. I think I might not continue reading book 2 of the series immediately though. 2 Sanderson books in a row and I could take a break!
Knitting
My Maggie Vest is almost finished. All went all except towards the very end I realised I knitted the button holes at wrong locations, so that part is unravelled and needs to be redone. I will need 6 buttons, and I found a button shop in New Town. It seems a wonderful place with thousands kinds of colourful buttons! Just love shops like that, there is one in my home city too, feeling very nostalgic.

Started the Milly Cheri shawl on Sunday. It is a free pattern but very very delicate and nice. It is definitely more challenging than the usual ones, but worth the effort. I am using Rowan Alpaca Soft DK.
