Weekly Notes #7
April 6 - April 12
The short but busy week after break.
Running and Swimming
- On Friday I went for a swim, 1km. The day was above 30 degrees so all the kids went out to the outdoor swimming pool, it was a crowded day but still manageable.
- I ran 4 times this week: 5km, 7km, 5km and 12km.
- I got myself a new pair of running shoes over easter break: HOKA Mach 6, it was on sale because Mach 7 was out this week, and I got the pink colour. I ran twice already with my new shoes and they ROLL! So far my running shoes collection: Asics Novablast 3 (~600 km), Nike Vomero 18 (reliable pal ~350 km), and HOKA Mach 6 (new friend).
Food
- I made semi-dried tomatoes in olive oil for the first time. I used cherry tomatoes, garlic and dill. Air-fried 120 degrees for 45 mins. Yummy!

Reading
- The Odyssey (Emily Wilson Translation), I am on Book 7, the reading process is much slower than I expected, but it's okay. There are so many names...
- Ancient Greece, The Definitive Visual History by DK Books. It should be great to read parallel with the Odyssey. It will be a long read I think, but it's fine, I think of it like a uni elective.
Watching
- Culinary Class Wars Season 2, I am on episode 4.
- Succession, I have heard so many good things about this show. I am starting from scratch, so currently on season 1.
Tech
- I created a new Obsidian vault for recipes. It has a simple folder structure, the ingredients as back links, and all manual using the good old template function. Very basic and simple.
